Happy Valentine’s Day… from NDOM to You!
If you missed service today at New Destiny… you really missed it! Today was a day of breakthrough, victory, healing, and restoration. An environment of expectation produced miracles for anyone and everyone who had their receiver locked into available.
Our Express Service encouraged us to look at the Parable of the Prodigal Son through a different set of eyes. We discussed it as a “Love Story” - not just between a father and his sons, but between God and each of us. We were reminded how God so graciously received each of us when we “came to ourselves” and it is our responsibility to compassionately assist others on the journey to “come to themselves”.
Our Morning Worship Service was power packed as it provided us with tools, techniques, and truth to help us Share Jesus Without Fear. Every day it is our job to ask God to send people across our path for us to witness to. All of these people have different personalities, perspectives, and positions; however, the Word teaches us how to evangelize to any and everyone regardless of their response.
Life Lesson #1 - Whatever God has ... we have also! It is up to us to access it.
Life Lesson #2 - Our job is to be available - but it is the Word that does the work.
What are your thoughts on these messages and how can you apply these life lessons personally? What is your response to this weeks Word? We want to hear from you!!
Let’s Talk Love
Love of Jesus… Expressed in Our Love for Others
Last week at mid-week service, Pastor Arrington began a dynamic series entitled “Sharing Jesus without Fear.” He instructed us on how to become an effective witness by presenting us with 5 eye opening, thought provoking, and non-offensive questions to ask someone.
On Sunday, this journey continued as he backed each of these questions with Word. Pastor Arrington challenged us to step out of our comfort zones and talk to someone this week about the good news of Jesus Christ. Did you? If so, tell us how it went. If not, what were your hesitations? Allow your experience to be a benefit for the rest of NDOM. Let us learn from you!
Co-Pastor Spivey shared from the series “From the Bottom of my Heart” and her message was entitled “I Call You My Beloved”. We walked through Matthew 3 & 4 and discussed the meaning of Beloved and the Power of knowing that you are the loved of God. So often we sing the song, Jesus Loves Me This I Know, but the challenge is many of us sing it, but we don’t know it. If we KNEW it, our attitude, thoughts, and mouths would line up with the Word of God and not our circumstances. What nugget did you take away from this love message to us from God? How did hearing about His love encourage, strengthen, and motivate you? Let us hear from you!
How have you EXPRESSED love this week?
